Impact & Pilot Reporting

WE Share’s Impact and Pilot Reporting framework connects community outcomes with verified data and transparent evaluation.

This section will provide live access to key metrics from the WE Share Pilot — showing how local generation, storage, and sharing translate into measurable social, environmental, and economic benefit.

The Live Dashboard

A Live Dashboard is being developed in partnership with the University of Auckland and other core stakeholders.
It will visualise community energy data, pilot performance, and social impact indicators in real time — combining transparency, accountability, and insight for all participants.

Over time, the dashboard is envisioned to display:

Local generation data

total solar energy produced by the community network.

Battery performance

storage capacity, charge/discharge cycles, and resilience uptime.

Energy sharing flows

real-time peer-to-peer exchanges within the island network.

Community participation growth

number of households, businesses, and hubs connected.

Resilience statistics

backup power hours supplied during outages.

Cost-savings indicators

household and community-level financial benefits.

Carbon reduction metrics

cumulative CO equivalent savings verified through renewable generation.

System reliability and uptime

monitored via independent inspection and audit data.

Infrastructure diversity

solar, storage, EV-integration, and future micro-grid additions.

Local economic impact

value retained on-island through local labour and procurement.

Participation equity

tracking inclusion of tenants, low-income households, and shared ownership models.

Education & engagement

community workshops, school partnerships, and public events logged.

Policy & pilot compliance

reporting alignment with EA PIP and SEANZ frameworks.

Live feedback channel

participant surveys and satisfaction insights integrated into dashboard analytics.

Open-data integrity

anonymised datasets accessible for community research and evaluation.

The dashboard intends to serve as a living window into WE Share’s progress — connecting funders, regulators, and community members through verified, transparent information
