Proof it’s working

Growing Installed Capacity

Community-owned solar and battery systems are already operating on Waiheke through the families, organisations, and partners participating in the WE Share framework. As more households and community sites engage, the shared benefit grows — including the expansion of the 50-unit pilot now underway.

School Resilience Installation

A major school-site resilience installation is completed and operating, with planning underway for an upgrade that will further strengthen community benefit as deployment scales.

Trusted Collaboration

WE Share collaborates with trusted organisations including Ecotricity, Our Energy, SEANZ, and local community hubs — aligning innovation pathways with community benefit and local expertise.

Why now ?

Extreme weather, growing energy demand, and aging grid infrastructure are already impacting Waiheke — every year of delay increases vulnerability. WE Share has the framework, the partnerships, and a ready community. Early funders help accelerate real clean-energy resilience today, while proving a model others can follow.
