WHAT IS A FOUNDING SUPPORTER?
Founding Supporters are the first individuals, families, or businesses to actively support the launch of WE Share in their community. Whether you’re installing a system, promoting the kaupapa, or contributing resources, you’re helping to anchor a new model of shared energy ownership.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Founding Supporters contribute in a range of ways — not just financially, but also through hands-on support, advocacy, and stewardship.
Practical & Material Support:
- Install solar and/or battery systems under WE Share pilot or Phase 1 frameworks
- Offer early-stage donations, material support, or in-kind contributions
- Provide property access for hosting installs, meetings, or temporary storage
- Host community sessions or provide venues for outreach events
Strategic & Professional Support:
- Share advisory input on design, rollout, or legal aspects (non-decision-making)
- Offer startup legal, accounting, or project management insight
- Contribute communications support — storytelling, branding, media outreach
Advocacy & Network Building:
- Share the kaupapa with friends, neighbours, and networks
- Offer endorsements or testimonials to build trust and traction
- Introduce aligned funders, journalists, or key community stakeholders
Community Anchoring:
- Join early pilot programs and act as demonstration homes or hubs
- Help others understand the process and benefits through real examples
- Be part of the public face of WE Share’s launch phase
Cultural & Values Stewardship:
- Model our cooperative values through your actions
- Help mentor newer participants or community hosts
